
A popular Hong Kong style dish – baked seafood pasta with cream sauce. You can find this dish in most of the cafes in Hong Kong. It’s a blend of Western and Asian flavor and it is absolutely delicious and comforting.
Ingredients (2 people’s portion):
- 1/2 lb Salmon
- 1/2 lb Shrimps
- Spaghetti
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp All-purpose flour
Steps:
- Cook pasta according to instruction; reserve one cup of pasta water and drain
- Heat butter on a saucepan, add flour and mix them together
- Pour milk into the butter mixture, sprinkle salt and pepper then turn on medium heat until sauce thicken
- On a glass pan, put the pasta at the bottom, then layer on the salmon and shrimp, pour the milk mixture on top then sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top
- Bake 350 degree for 15 min; then broil on high heat for 5 min until the cheese turns golden brown
*Note: wait till the cream mixture turns thick (see picture below) before pouring onto the pasta
